Integrated messaging! Woot! Kopete is the single worst element of KDE.

no, and telepathy-kde is separate much like kdepim and calligra. there probably is a ppa for it, not sure if any are at 1.0 yet.

Is this in the ppas for 11.04? If so has anybody tried it yet?

4.7? not yet, maybe tomorrow as Oneiric'd packages just got uploaded tonight.

telepathy-kde? none I could find that weren't really old.

                      Re: KDE 4.70

Just checking the Oneiric repo from my spare barebones Ubuntu install (no X, no GUI, maybe just to check out Gonme 3 Unity later), at least half the KDE packages are stil at 4.6.90. Soit's probably best not to upgrade to 4.7 yet until all the remaining packages "catch up", so to speak.

well I am running a fresh 11.10 install, and as far as I can see, all the default ones are at 4.7 , but I agree on waiting, there are still a few things still building iirc

I just want to try the facial recognition on Digikam-2, have been waiting for that for what seems like about 2 years (ever since Picasa got it).

I was hoping for fixes to some long running issues, rather than features but some of those bugs still there, along with some new ones

Well, I have upgraded to Oneiric. I have found no showstoppers yet, and everything is running smoothly. Almost all the packages have been updated, except for the localization packages.
