Usually I install flash plugin linking to libflashplayer.so in directories: usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins and usr/lib/firefox/plugins. It succeeds on my computer but not on my daughter's one. Firefox doesn't see a flash plugin there. What could I do wrong?

Re: flash+firefox: 2 computers, different behavior
the flash plugin installer has been a pita.
trying re-installing it.
The file you're looking for is libflashplayer.so
If it's not present on your system, re-install it. If it is present, look at your firefox setup to be sure it's looking in the right directory for it.

I checked everything. At last, I copied the working version of lib and it begun working on the second computer. I don't know what was wrong with that old file.
By the way, there are some other files that come with installation file of Adobe Flash (.gz version). Are they needed at all?
