There is a previous thread, over 3 months old, on this identical probem, and a bug report [https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...?comments=all] filed on the issue about 10 months ago. I have added a comment to it to report my problem.
Briefly, whenever I insert a flashdrive, dbus-daemon and udisks-daemon start racing. I have an HP workstate running right now at 98% (with fluctuations down to 85% or so), with a flashdrive inserted in a USB port - not mounted yet. No application programs are running. Removing the flashdrive has no effect. It's still running at 98%.
Anyone else having this crazy problem?
