Re: [SOLVED] How to synchronize folders?

The one I installed gives you extra righ-click options to do with drop box. I'll post a screen shot when I get home.

It's called Dropbox ServiceMenu, Author: hash87.

It adds these functions to "right-click"...

Re: [SOLVED] How to synchronize folders?

Thanks. Found it, but it won't install. I had to manually install about 8 dependencies, but one - kdialog - I simply could not find in a Kubuntu-friendly form. I don't know how you did it. I'm running KB 11.04. Are you?

Yup, 11.04. The add-on installed without a complaint. I do have a few added ppa's though.

kdialog should be installed by default, it comes with kdebase. The exact package name varies a bit depending on the KDE version due to some reorganising/renaming. In KDE 4.6, kdialog should be in 'kdebase-bin' and in 4.7, in 'kde-baseapps-bin'.

Re: [SOLVED] How to synchronize folders?

I can now see that kdialog IS installed on my 11.04, but the Dolphin addon still won't install.

I have bigger fish to fry, and must move on at this point. Too many moles to whack!

Thanks for all the responses and help offered. Much appreciated!

What I like with Dropbox (apart from being easy to use) is that it's gratis for android, so I can sync across all plattforms. I would use U1 if I could use it on my mobile phone, however I just found this one ... will have a go and see how it is. EDIT; ; just realized that this is the official U1 app ... that they made "gratis"? (*puzzled* what do they charge for now?)

Read about owncloud some 6 months ago, as I understood that's just a solution/application not a host storage service? If I would have a home-server that runs 24-7 one would have a "gratis" (and free!) storage service hosting owncloud?
