Window looks mishmash after upgrade to KDE 4.7.0.

After restart, windows looks bad like this!:

Are you using the default Kwin theme? if so, or not, have tried to change the theme?

I see this in 11.10 on my ancient Compaq laptop with its meager ati graphics, using the open drivers. It goes away if I disable desktop effects, even switching to different window decoration - kwin (plasma, actually) themes changes does not effect window decorations

I believe it is a driver incompatibility with the new stuff on the old hardware (I couldn't even enable effects on this box in natty/kde4.7)

So the next question is: What graphics chip do you have?

Yes, you rigth, its Radeon 9200 chip. Latest usable (not open) drivers was for Hardy Heron for its X.org. All next *buntu have troubles with this hw - only open driver available. But, until last upgrade, it was working with minimum efects - just a shadows under windows... Now, I must strictly turn off effects to get it usable..
