    thunderbird doesn't automatically delete spam

For some reason, even though I have message filters turned on and adapative junk filters turned on, Thunderbird wont' delete junk mail until I manually click on the junk mail column. This works fine in the Win version. What might be wrong in 11.04?

    THANKS

Have you tried right-clicking on the spam folder and changing this setting?

Thanks for the reply! OK, I tried changing settings to match what your .png file shows (I only had two tabs on my Junk folder, but luckily one of them was the one you showed). It's not at all clear what these things mean in relation to automatically activating the Adaptive Spam Filter on the Inbox...

Hmmm... searching, searching, searching for "reset junk mail training data" - no joy (TB 3.1.9 - not even in Junk Settings under Account Settings - sheesh!)

Guess just have to live with this in Kubuntu - in windows the same settings do the trick.
