Open Office suddenly is giving me an annoying problem. When I attempt to save a file that is located on a removable flash drive, it claims the file I am attempting to save does not exist even if it does. It says the same when the file actually does NOT exist - after all I want t save it.
Attempting to open an existing file either results in an identical error message (file does not exist) or claims that the file is locked by another user and generously offers to open a read-only copy.
Permission on the flash drive are set to my name and my group not to root.I attempted to reset permission to me and was met with the cryptic message that Dolphin cannot write to the device.
Any ideas what causes this problem? I really need to gain access to my files and/or be able again to save files to the flash drive.
