My system is very inconsistent with sound. Amarok produces no sound; Luk produces no
sound; Banchee works fine.
The java app http://files.gokgs.com/javaBin/cgoban.jnlp sound features only work part time. in that some
sound features work and others do not. That could be java mind you.
After all of this time sound is STILL painful.
Anybody else experiencing these problems?

another little bug. Playback devices does not remember the sound setting on login. Yes "Restore volumes on login" is checked.

[ 3.465193] failed to evaluate ATIF got AE_BAD_PARAMETER
but I am not sure they are connected
However if Banchee works why or how do Luk & Amarok not work. They must be
using different features.
Are they really using different features? If so why?
which set of features are the (correct|suggested) ones?
It would be interesting to find out if others have a problem like this. I.E.
does only a subset of (Banchee|Luk|Amarok) work for you?
