I have been trying to run an old PC game 'Hitman2' to be precise with WINE and although it installed flawlessly when it came to running the game i was presented with the 'cannot locate cd/dvd-rom drive' message. I went into the WINE configurator and tried to add the cd/dvd-rom drive but couldn't locate it on the system. I did note however that under 'Media' was the name of the game i.e. 'Hitman2' which i assumed to be the cd-rom. So i added the path '/media/Hitman2' as drive 'd' and as a cd-rom. Now i can launch and play the game, great 
However i'm currious as to why under 'Media' the name of the cd-rom/game appeared and not the device itself i.e. the cd/dvd-rom drive?
Also if i was to install another game which required to run from the cd-rom, would that mean i'd have to manually change the path for the drive 'd' in the WINE config each time i played a different game?
