Does anyone know how to do this? Mac OS X has this sort of behavior - when in column view, single click on a folder displays the contents of the folder in a new column where as to open a file, the user must double click it.

Re: Single click to open folders but not files in Dolphin column view
To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible. In System Settings > Input Devices > Mouse > Icons the choice is double-click to open files and folders and double-click to open files and folders.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

'by design' I believe yes. As such, a bug report is not appropriate. However, if you want to request this feature, by all means do so.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
