Re: Muon
You could have as many package managers as you want to.
Earlier (*) > Topic: Changing defaults: Removing KPackageKit
I would like to know what should I do to remove KPackageKit and replace it with Muon
Code:sudo apt-get purge kpackagekit packagekit packagekit-backend-aptcc libpackagekit-qt-14 libpackagekit-glib2-14 python-packagekit
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Virtual packages like 'libpackagekit-qt-14' can't be removed
The following packages will be REMOVED:
gstreamer0.10-packagekit* kpackagekit* libpackagekit-glib2-14* packagekit* packagekit-backend-aptcc*
python-packagekit*
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 6 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
After this operation, 3,699 kB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?
Code:sudo apt-get install muon
so I would like to make it the default.
The Muon should show the notification (not used at here) and offer the update option.

Code:apt-cache show kubuntu-desktop
Package: kubuntu-desktop
Priority: optional
Section: metapackages
