[SOLVED] Wierd problem

I have a problem with different applications going to a black screen after a number of apps are open. Resizing seems to get rid of it for a moment anyway. Using nvidia geforce 7150 with 270.41.06

Looks as though installing the latest nvidia driver via ppa fixed it.
