Had a few days to use rekonq - do not really like it, not because of the UI, but for performance reasons. The installation on my computer is far, very, very far from being ready for use.
All-in-all, for my use it has many more iterations to go before I will again consider using it to replace Firefox.
- It freezes sporadically when I middle click a link to open a link in a new tab.
- It freezes if I open too many tabs in above manner (don't really know how many is too many, do not intend to spend the time to find out
) - It is very slow in displaying icon help. I tend to get impatient and click and that then turns off the display of icon help and then the help flickers on and off. Also, if I rest the pointer on the icon and wait 3 or 4 seconds or more, nothing happens, I move to another icon and click and then the help finally flickers on and off for the icon I was waiting for - odd behavior !!
