I've looked across the forums a bit and saw resolutions to the reverse issue I'm having. Where those issues are always prompted for a password, I am never prompted for a password.
The problem with this is whenever an application requires admin authorization, I am not prompted to provide one. It goes directly from the progress bar to an authentication error popup, bypassing the middle step of actually prompting for a password. This is making even the most mundane of tasks (installing default wallpapers) to more important tasks (updating package information) impossible to accomplish.
Please advise and thank you.
