How to copy Win Firefox profile to Linux Firefox?

Hi all:

I want to copy my Firefox and Thunderbird profiles from Windows to Linux via a thumbdrive. It's really complicated to find the firefox and thunderbird directories. Any tips?

I don't know about Thunderbird, Linux to Linux is easy but I've never tried it with Windows to Linux. What I do, with my Firefox and Chromium browser settings is use the LastPass and Xmarks extensions to save all of my bookmarks and passwords. Then simply install the extensions on the Linux machine, and there you are. With a Linux to Linux transfer, you can simply replace the profile in the new install by copying and pasting the profile from the old install. I have done this many times. Only glitch comes if your new install is a later version of the software some errors may occur, especially with extensions.

Thanks for the tips. My problem is that I can't find the .mozilla and .thunderbird directories in KUBUNTU to copy the stuff. I don't like the changes the KDE programmers did with the new version. Before you could move or copy files to directories now those option aren't there anymore. Also it was easy to find the aforementioned directories.

Any suggestions how I can find the .mozilla via Dolphin?

Make sure you have the "Show Hidden files" option selected.
