Re: Nvidia binary 270.xx + Konsole resize = system lockup?
From https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...rs/+bug/760632 I got a useful temporary fix. Invoke konsole with --notransparency and it does not crash when you resize.

You could update to the latest nvidia driver, where this problem is solved. At least the new driver solved this issue for me. http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux-d...07-driver.html
You can get 275.09.07 from ppaorg-edgers/ppa (https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa)
