Audio on FF4.0.1 choppy but not on FFAuora of FF nightly (6a)

As the title says any video coming from a video (youtube, etc) renders chopped up and unhearable.

On FF Auro (5a) or FF nightly (6a) they work fine.

Video / audo on VLC, etc works fine.
Anyone else having this?

HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
4 GB Ram
Kubuntu 18.10
