This is the first version of Kubuntu where I have not changed the default desktop wallpaper to something of my liking. The Horos wallpaper is quite stunning, IMHO.
I run a minimalistic desktop. Today, I installed Conky, using the conky.config from Parted Magic 6.0 because it was transparent. However, in Kubuntu it was not. Searched KFN for the post made by dibl on how he got transparency for Conky, and installed the packages. Added the required line to conky.config, and viola, my conky is 'transparent'. Cool. 8)
