Like so many others here, I have an nVidia card (GeForce 9400 GT) and have experienced driver problems after the upgrade. I did an in-place upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04 and it sporadically worked (with the previous kernel only) so I finally decided to install 11.04 from scratch. I did not install the proprietary driver from nVidia so I assume Kubuntu's version of the proprietary nVidia driver (?) is what's installed now and everything seems to be working OK. nVidia X Server Settings reports the driver version as 270.41.06.
However, when I reboot the machine, there's about a 3 minute delay until I get to the KDE login splash screen. Prior to that, all I see is blue. I don't reboot often so troubleshooting this is going to be a pain.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this delay and if so, have you figured out the fix yet?
Thanks!
