Video is freezing

I watch a few TV shows online due to my schedule, and since installing 11.04 I've noticed that when I attempt to open the fullscreen view for the video it freezes, and I am not able to exit out of it, or really do anything besides moving the mouse. I can't exit, minimize, or anything, as though the entire computer has been frozen.

I've also noticed that some of my online games are much slower now. They're not big games, just puzzles on bored.com. Is there a quick fix for this like a code or download or something? Thanks.

Oh, and if it makes any difference I'm using Chrome as my browser.

Sounds like a video config problem. Turn off Desktop Effects in the System Setting tool, under Desktop Effects.
