I have made a full upgrade from an old Kubuntu (9?) distribution to 11.04 but keeping all my users and accounts in a separate partition.
However, after the installation, if I try to log in one of those accounts I get the message:
"kstartupconfig4 does not exist or fails. The error code is 3"
and I can not log in... >
I had to do a second installation and set a new account. I have no problems in logging in in this accounts but the problem subsists for the others.
Clearly someone forgot to consider this upgrade scenario (full upgrade but keeping existing users) either in KDE4 or in the Kubuntu installation script.
Is there any simple way to fix this (aside making new accounts and copy files)?
Thanks
