I have a HP Netbook, and since upgrading to 11.04 from 10.10 I've had issues with the wireless.
First, The computer always starts with the wireless turned off. When I open up network manager and select "enable wireless", the computer instantly locks up every time ( four times now).
A reboot is the only way to get it back. I tried to remove the broadcomm driver and after rebooting, the computer locked up again.
Reboot, select "additional drivers" and re-install the broadcomm driver for the wireless. computer locks up. Wash, rinse repeat.
