    Amarok issues

    Hi,

I just upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 and almost everything was ok. I just had a problem with the 2.6.38 kernel, which doesn't have a clear solution at the moment, so I just removed it and booted in the old 2.6.35... AND I'm having a very boring issue with Amarok. First, the playing song appears in the playlist in a light green color that I don't know from where it came from... and randomly I can't FF or RW (jump), the "bar" just stays freeze. It is random... sometimes works, sometimes not.

    Someone with similar issue?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad English.

Well, poking around I found out that prefering Xine as Phonon Backend intead of GStreamer do the trick for the jumping issue.

The light blue color in the current song is a bug too, described in [1]. Version 2.4.1 will fix it.

        Thanks,

Oh ok, I'll try 2.4.1 from source then. Thanks.

How did you compile Amarok 2.4.1? Did you do some basic compilation (./configure, make, make install style) or did you compile using some Ubuntu packaging system?

I found a guide for compiling Amarok on link [1], but I want to create ubuntu packages, and not make a "dirty" install with make install.

                          Thanks,
