    Desktop trouble [SOLVED]

I recently noticed I have a yellow square on the bottom of my screen. I don't have any notepad application running, when I left click it nothing happens, and when I right click I have options for IM (xim and ibus), and allowing tabulations (whatever that is).

I looked in my system tray and nothing shows up for it. I also cannot exit out if this to make it go away. Has anyone else had this thing pop up?

It first showed up last night, and I haven't installed anything except for the upgrade to Natty. Any help on this would be great.

    Hi
could you please be more descriptive of the yellow square:

Does at bottom mean in the panel on on the "desktop"

it is a small square like 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch or 10 cm by 10 cm or is i much larger.

As a first thought did you use the "post it note" widget or did you use an app that uses post it note as a sub program. Like the "note" program in Kontact, used to use a post note popup that was from the menu as a sub routing and maybe using Kontact "activated" it even though you didn't use it.

    Just some thoughts.

It's about 1/2 inch X 1/2 inch, on the bottom of the screen, in the exact middle. And the first thing I did was check to make sure I didn't have Knote running. About my screen. I don't have any panels or task bars at the bottom, it's just an image from my "pictures" folder, and yes, I double checked the picture.

I really have no clue what this is.......

        Re: Desktop trouble

Good news, I figured out the problem. It was a thumbnail from a program that was running in the background, but in my current desktop setting I was unable to find the "x" to close it. It's odd that it didn't show up in my task manager or system tray, though... I switched to a different desktop view and was able to close it. Apparently there might be a small glitch in the "Search and Launch" desktop as it did not give me any notification that this was open.
