    Window focus glitches

I have a weird glitch with window focus since the 11.04 update. When the machine first starts, left clicking doesn't alter focus (clicks are registered in whichever window the system has decided has focus, not whichever is under the cursor). Right clicking on the desktop a couple of times resets it and focus follows left clicks correctly.

If the machine is then left untouched for a few hours, the problem returns, but right clicking only provides a fix for a single focus shift, then it locks again. Focus is set to follow clicks and focus stealing prevention is on medium. Any suggestions?

Check under the Window Behaviour settings: Window Behaviou > Window Behaviour > Window Actions. By default it should be set like this:

Left button: Activate, Raise & Pass Click
Middle button: Activate & Pass Click
Right button: Activate & Pass Click
    Wheel: Scroll

Check if yours are the same. Also, look under your Touchpad settings (if it's a notebook): Input Devices > Touchpad

Those settings are on the defaults, the same as yours.

      It's a desktop, so there's no touchpad.

This'll sound stupid but have you tried using a different mouse?

I don't have another mouse. It worked fine on 10.10, it works fine in Windows, the clicks are being registered in 11.04, just in the wrong window.
