    Hangs after/during login

After doing a fresh installation with Kubuntu 11.04 Final I have huge problem when trying to login. After the code is accepted, the splash screen shows up and the hard drive icon fades in, then everything hangs. The mouse still works until I trying to do something (pressing the keyboard or so), then it totally freezes.

After I killed the power and tried login in 6-7 times, I can login. The next time is the same thing all over again. This was not an issue in the latest beta release, it occurred in the final release.

Any one else have this problem, or better up, a solution for this?

Have you tried turning ACPI off in grub? Does it still behave the same?

That did fix the login problem, I think. But created a bunch of other problems that I couldn't fix. Suspend, hibernate, and mouse totally failed to work, probability other things to? Also power button cut the power straight off, no fancy shut down there I had to do a reinstall to fix it.

Although, it seems to work now. I did not up update kubuntu-desktop as asked this time, I uninstalled it. Don't know if that was the actual problem thou, just looks like a dummy dependency package?
