This guide is for Ubuntu (in which I've had it working) but it seems to me that it should work fine in Kubuntu as well so I've done all the steps, however, the VPN option under interfaces (in network interface) is greyed out and says not connected. Under 'connections', Anonine is visable but nothing happens when I click it.
Any suggestions?

1. Extract anonine_openvpn.zip (download here) into /home/<USERNAME>/openvpn directory
2. Install network-manager-openvpn package
3. NetworkManager->VPN->Import- >/home/<USERNAME>/openvpn/anonine.ovpn
(note: could only find option to add 'ca file' so I added anonine.ca.crt. Tried with anonine.ovpn too but no difference)
4. Change "Type: TLS Certificate" to "Type: Password"
5. Enter your username and password
6. Press "Advanced" and check "Use LZO data compression" and then OK.
7. Now click Apply / OK, you can now use OpenVPN.
