Re: cannot install printer connected to Windows XP machine
Is this printer installed on XP on a different computer, or on the same computer? Just because you can use it in XP does not mean it is shared, you have to go to the printer properties in XP and mark the computer as shared. Then once it is shared, open the cups interface in Kubuntu by entering localhost:631 in the location window of a browser and see if you can install it from there instead of using the Kubuntu printer installation.
