Re: wireless won't connect
No go,
I am having trouble with understanding the security settings as the descriptions are not the same.
I tried to change from wpa to wpa 2 and then my other (windows) machine, the one I am now on, wouldn't connect, I used the choice WPA2_PERSONAL, encryption type AES. No connection.
So now I am back to the WPA-PSK with TKIP.
On my router the option selected is "Security: WPA-PSK" "Encryption TKIP"
In wicd the option is "WPA1/2 (Preshared key)"
Are they the same thing?
There is no change in the machines response.
Yes the caps are OK, I have the password showing to be sure.
I have wpasupplicant already installed but I reinstalled it anyway. No change.
