floppy drive does not show in dolphin

this is what is present in /etc/fstab st present, i have used "sudo mkdir /mnt/floppy in konsole for a mount point and it says the dir is present the drive does not show in the list in dolphin. i want the drive to work when I insert a disk as the other drives do so please help. the drive is internal

fstab shows that / was on /dev/sda2 during installation and would changing /dev/Fd0 to sda2 make any difference

some of us older people want their floppy drives

any help would appreciated

Are you able to access (and use) the drive through any other means?

My System details - Dell Optiplex 330, Pentium dual cpu E2140 at 1.6Ghz, SATA, 40 GB Hard drive, 4 GB memory, Radeon HD2400pro Graphics card, floppy is the standard Dell fitted on their desktops.
I also regard floppies as important and now have no problems with Natty and using floppies.
Looking at your fstab, have you checked that your floppy mount point is actually at /mnt/floppy on your system, as the normal Natty install seems to set up /media/floppy0 as the mount point. When all is working, using the side panel in Dolphin to "Add entry", enter the floppy mount point, give it a name eg. Floppy is a good one, and you can even change the icon if you like. But you must have the correct mount point. I have been through all that myself, and I have attached everything I have done to give me a working floppy drive.
