    Can't mount usb memory stick

I'm not able to mount a usb memory stick.

I've opened system settings>removable devices and
checked "enable automatic mounting of removable media"
unchecked "only mount removable media that has been manually mounted before"
checked "mount all removable media at login", and
checked "automatically mount removable media when attached"

Nothing is checked on device overrides.

Still, when I attach my usb nothing happens.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Re: Can't mount usb memory stick

I have seen the menu Removable device for the first time now, after several years of using usb sticks on Linux. You are not supposed to change default settings there. Removable devices mount automatically when you try to open them in some file manager anyway.

Try to mount your memory stick to another computer to see if the problem is not in the stick or try to mount it on the same computer with live CD to see if you don't have a damaged system.
