Screen brigtness set to high during startup

    May peace be upon you,
I set my performance profile to set screen brightness to minimum. However, when the laptop boots, the brightness is set to maximum and i have to diminish it manually using Fn + F4

Am i missing something here or it is a bug?

I managed to find a workaround. I set the bar slightly up. If i reduce it to zero, the laptop would boot at full brightness after the splash screen and continues to be at that level.

Now, after the splash screen, the brightness is reduced.

and i also put aggressive power save profile to disable effects on profile load.

However, when the laptop boots, all effects are on. I think i must report this to Kubuntu or KDE team.

did you set the "when AC unpluged" profile to use the aggressive powersave option? you can find that in the general tab of power management. if you just edit the profile for aggressive powersave to include disable effects that will only happen "when battery is at low level"
