I just bought a CanoScan LiDE 100 flatbed scanner and hooked it up to my Kubuntu 11.04 computer. This is a USB scanner that draws power from the USB too (no additional power cable). When I use gscan2pdf to scan something, exit the program and start it up again, the computer does not find the scanner. This appears to be because the scanner is disconnected. It would start working only after I physically disconnect the scanner from the computer and reconnect it. Could someone please help me fix it?
