I have a Dell Inspirion 1720 laptop running Kubuntu 11.04, everything runs fine but I have noticed that if I start my laptop on battery power and then plug the AC adaptor in the power manager still shows the battery as 'discharging' even though the icon on the panel clearly indicates that the AC adaptor is connected.
If I was to restart Kubuntu, with the AC adaptor connected still, then the power management suddenly jumps into life displaying the correct information.
Anyone have any ideas?
