Does Kubuntu have a battery life extender?
I'm not talking about power saving. That I know about.
What I want is soemthign akin to the "Samsung Battery Life Extender" app that came with my Win 7 machine. Since my laptops are always plugged in, the power is always charging the battery -- but the battery life extender prevents this overcharging by not charging the battery unless it falls below 80% charge. Thus the battery is charged in short bursts, and isn;t always being topped off.
Is these such a utility for Linux? I have my Linux laptop (another Samsung, a Q530) plugge din 24/7, and I don;t wnat to burn down the battery.
