Today's update (2 April) did a pretty good job of messing up grub. It replaced the /etc/grub.d/10_linux file, and after the grub update, I get no linux systems on the grub menu (nice April fool, but a day late...). Fortunately I have my own custom menu, which did come up. I simply restored the old 10_linux, did an update-grub, and all is well. But it's gonna panic someone, so forewarned is forearmed.

no problems here, but good to know nonetheless. Have you filed a bug on this? It is a serious issue. -

Actually, the problem is a little worse. I found what I needed to do is copy ALL of the pre-update grub.d files over, to get the full menu back.
I would guess if others are not having problems, that the problem is I have customized most of my boot scripts to give me a grub menu I like, and this may be incompatible with whatever updates are coming down the pipe.
