    Adding bookmarks crashes Rekonq

Adding bookmarks results in a crash. Happens every time. I relaunch Rekonq and the bookmark is there.

    Anyone else observing this problem?

To be clear, the crash happens when right-clicking on the Bookmarks Toolbar and selecting Add Bookmark. On the otherhand, if I click on the 'star' (Bookmark this page) at the end of the URL bar, it's added to the Bookmarks Toolbar without issue.

rekonq seems to be going through a buggy/crashy phase again this cycle. I don't get a crash, it just doesn't do anything for me when I do what you describe. I have been using ff4 more lately as it has been so much faster for me that I have been neglecting my current fave browser

i take that back, it is adding the bookmark following your steps, I was looking for it to show in the toolbar instead of the main bookmarks section

Well, kde.bugs.net has several reports on this, and one that is marked as Solved. Rekonq 0.6.85 apparently fixes the problem. Of course, here in Natty (fully updated), Rekonq is at version 0.6.80 (and I'm on KDE 4.6.1). Guess we just wait a bit.

rekonq.kde.org reports that Rekonq is at 0.6.85 and available for download. Since my version is 0.6.80, do I need to activate Pre-released updates in order to get it, or is it better to just wait until it gets included in the reqular updates?

it should make it into natty soon, one of the Kubuntu ninjas has a ppa with a recent build
            https://launchpad.net/~rohangarg/+archive/kde-extra?

or you can be braver and try the daily builds:
            https://launchpad.net/~yoann-laissus...ive/rekonq-ppa

I don't think there would actually be anything in natty's Pre-released updates (-proposed), as natty IS a pre-release I am pretty sure a new rekonq would just go to natty's main repos once it is built

The only ppa I am using is Rog131's (for kde-service-menu-rootactions, an absolute 'must have'). I stick to the standard *buntu repo's unless I absolutely need something else. 0.6.85 will be available for us Natty users soon enough. I have no pressing need to attempt to get it before it shows up in a update.
