    Seamonkey crashes immediately when started

I have had very good success using Seamonkey with Kubuntu in the past, but today I installed Kubuntu 11.04 Alpha 2, added several browsers and tried them out. Most worked, but my favorite - Seamonkey, did not, and in fact, it would start, but crash - disappear, without any warning or provocation, and subsequent attempts to start it produced the same result.

I am running it on a Gateway 2000 PA6A 17" portable with wired networking to a Comcast Broadband network. I am not real familiar with reporting standards here, but if this information does not suffice, or it needs to be filed elsewhere, I would appreciate a tip on additional steps to take, and I will make an effort to do them ASAP, because I certainly want a working Seamonkey environment with my Kubuntu setup, definitely before release, but the sooner the better.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction in the likely case that a bug report (with whatever details are required) is needed. I am here to request details on how to best accomplish the defect reporting for Alpha 2.

You have to expect breakage when you use a *development* release of Kubuntu - or any other such Linux. Download Kubuntu Maverick Meerkat 10.10. It's stable.

That's not the point. I understand that there may be issues. I wanted to report the issue I saw, and if there is a proper method to report, I want to know so that I can follow up. There are certainly plenty of browsers, including Firefox 4.0 Beta 10, that are working very well here. I just want to make sure that the proper bug report for the Seamonkey issue is filed, so if anyone can help me ensure that I do the right thing and can point me in the right direction, that would be very helpful.

Kubuntu 10.10 was a very good release and I was using it earlier today. That's not a concern for me at all; this is a testing environment. Proper defect reporting tips are what I could most use, so if this note suffices, fine, but I am expecting that there is a formal bug tracking site somewhere for this release; I don't happen, at the moment, to know what it is or where it is, so tips on that would be appreciated. Thanks!
