    Turn off bouncing icon in Kubuntu Maverick

    Hi folks

    Can anyone show me how to change/turn off the annoying bouncing icon when starting an app? All the posts I can find on this suggest Appearance Themes > Launch Feedback or kcontrol, but kcontrol isn't in Maverick's repository and I can't find anything in System Settings that would do it.

    Thanks
    Rich

    Geez, it took years to get them to include the Launch Feedback.

    Otherwise you don't know if a program is actually loading.

    I think there are multiple options though, such as a blinking cursor instead of bouncing cursor.

    K menu -> System -> System Settings -> Desktop -> Launch Feedback

    UbuntuGuide/KubuntuGuide

    Right now the killer is being surrounded by a web of deduction, forensic science,
    and the latest in technology such as two-way radios and e-mail.

      Yep, that's it. Although there isn't a 'Desktop' setting in Maverick. Its now under

      Menu > System Settings > Application and System Notifications > Launch Feedback

      I like the blinking cursor option.

      Thanks perspectoff
