    Kate/KWrite

Silly question - how to change default text editor from kate to kwrite? Command line if possible - System Settings applets still kill KDE.

Someone told me the next Kubuntu is much faster than any predecessor (he tested the alpha).

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pretty sure I was in file associations in Konqueror a couple of days ago.

          It's available in both (konqueror/systemsettings)

One can also right-click on a text file, choose Properties from the menu, click the configure (wrench) icon in the properties dialog and edit the preferred applications list.

Ya -duh! Then I thought I could just uninstall Kate and then KWrite would be at the top of the list in "Open With ...." then *bang* suddenly Thunderbird cannot spell-check any more! Whoop!?!
