I don't know, but....
way back at Xan days...and back in Klikit days... I reviewed all the available music players and although Banshee had a pretty kewl interface.......it, and most, did not play a "stream" such as from shoutcast or from Soma FM.
This is not, apparently, very hard for some, qmmp and Amarok will play any url you jam into them.
But, as of the 1.8.1 I can't get any stream to play in it as opposed to this page which "may" be talking about the latest beta release:
http://banshee.fm/features/
But, I'll play devil's advocate here....let us say that there is some "way" to get the stream to play aside from following the instructions in Banshee which are: open radio stations, enter URL and save then click the thing.
I don't know how instructions can be much more clear.
If somebody has to give instructions on how to do it, then like the various clients for XMMS2, maybe Banshee is not quite "there" yet for the NEW PERSON to Linux who may want to choose Kubu.
Just to be safe I went to Kpackagekit and installed every app that had the word Banshee in them including an overhead shooting game and still nada...
So... if someone has something I can do...i'll have to say that Banshee may look like Amarok and it has a lot of features like Amarok, but it seems that it still can't do what seems to be something that several other players do.
