    Hide Dolphin Status bar? [SOLVED]

Simple enough query yet I've been unable to find a definitive answer; is it possible to hide the status bar in Dolphin (1.6.1; KDE 4.6.1)?

    Cheers,
    Dean

Are you referring to the 'slider' bar at the bottom/right of Dolphin? If 'yes', with Dolphin running, click on Settings > Configure Dolphin... > General > Status Bar and uncheck both items.

I was referring to the entire status bar; not just the elements within it. I did find the options to remove the zoom slider and the free space monitor, however I would like to know if it's possible to remove the entire bar / panel.

I'm confused. The two items - slider and free space - at the bottom dolphin's display is all there is -- at that location of Dolphin. What do you mean by 'entire bar / panel'?

Well those 2 items, along with the total file count for the current folder reside in a coloured strip (the same colour as the panels and toolbars). Is it possible to hide the entire strip; so that the folder contents flows to the bottom edge of the window?

Basically I'm referring to the entire strip focussed here:

I'm going for this look; no bar at the bottom:

          Is that possible?

I don't believe that can be done. There isn't a setting in Dolphin that would do so.

That's what I thought; having looked through all the settings I could find

Just wondered if there was a known method, be it a random hidden little setting somewhere, or some other obscure method. Thanks for your help mate, I appreciate it.

I know there's little point in hiding information; just sometimes I think it may look that bit less crowded with no bar along the bottom.

              Thanks again dude!

Re: Hide Dolphin Status bar? [SOLVED]

it looks similar to me like when ruby wasn't enabled in the way that compiz fusion used to be done, The "windows" were without a border, often they "snapped" to a corner. They couldn't be moved with a mouse because of no border. One could work with it, and close it but not move it.
