    Which TCP thing

OK, I don't know much about networking, but when I plugged a NAS into my wired ethernet port, Kubuntu 10.10 x64 lost contact completely with my WiFi, so I couldn't browse the internet, etc. The NAS is going through a router, and the WiFi is also (a different router). Is this a terribly-complicated TCP/IP issue (like having to set different SNM's - whatever they are) or is there a simple way to tell Kubuntu that one port only has a NAS on it, and the other one is the one to use for browsing? Thanks!!!!! Patricia

I believe you need to have the NAS and your internet connection on different Sub Net Masks.

Probably easier to change your WiFi than the NAS.

In other words - use 192.168.1.something for your NAS and 192.168.2.something for your WiFi.
