    Problem with Rekonq

The issue is that it fails to show java content.

    http://194.102.194.221/

is one example of web page that is ok in FF4, for example, but not ok in Rekonq.

This issue also affects the web slice and web browser widgets, as shown in this thread:

    http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3115779.0

    Any ideas?

have you installed java on your system, otherwise i wouldn't expect anything with java to work.. (FF4 maybe using its own built in java stuff).

Yes, I can confirm the problem. We are hoping some guru will have a workaround, otherwise it seems the kind of thing that will need to be reported at the KDE bugtracker. Other browsers show both webcam URL's just OK in my system ...

          Re: Problem with Rekonq

so it probably is a webkit issue, then as all these use it to render web pages. Each main browser type iirc also has its own method of using javascript, which is what the page is using to serve up the images. webkit's javascript doesn't seem to be able to handle this.

konqueror is also failing at this page. What we don't know for sure is what KPart is embedded in these plasma widgets these days. KHTML? Webkit? Anyone knows? Thanks!

              webkit, I do believe.

Webkit was at least originally based on Konq's khtml some time back.
