Synaptic repository list - can't get rid of erroneous item

I added an item to the Synaptic repository list under "Other Software", but it didn't show up in the list. When I did a reload, I got this complaint:

Failed to fetch [url]http://ubuntu.mirror.cambrium.nl/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/source/Sources.gz[/url] 403 Forbidden

How can I get rid of the offending repository, since it isn't in the list?

You'll find it as a separate repository .list file in /etc/apt/sources.d/
