Hi,
I just wanted to know if there is any way to completely disable screensaver and screen-powersaving in Kubuntu 10.10 by simply using the gui?
In systemsettings, section "power managment" ("Energieverwaltung" in my german locale) I've deleted all profiles but one. This one profile has all boxes unchecked except for event handling.
In section "Anzeige und Monitor": "display and screen" the screensaver is set to blank screen, but automatic start is not ticked.
Despite these settings my screen goes to stand-by after about 10 minutes of inactivity.
This ist quite annoying when watching flash-movies.
I don't want any screen-power-managment to be done by the OS at all. When I don't need my screen I switch it off using its hardware switch.
I've searched google and these forums of course, but most answers to similar question are either about older kubuntu-version or disabling dpms using the command line.
I'm primarily interested in a gui-only way.
Thank you for your help in advance! :-)
