This is odd, there's a little gui for xwinwrap called gwinwrap (LINK: http://code.google.com/p/gwinwrap/ ). I have met all the prerequisites for this thing, I have mplayer installed, xwinwrap, and completely followed there tutorial.
I can get some screen savers to work on it, for instance glmatrix, looks great especially since it's about halfway transparent, makes it look like some sort of cool sci-fi computer screen in front of a window on a spaceship or something. The big problem I'm having is I really, really want to use a video as a background, but every time a try to do that it never shows up, I get the same problem no matter what file type the video is. Is it a problem with mplayer that I might be having? I get no errors in the terminal when the script is running, any ideas?
