KLaunch > Applications > Help produces the KDE Help Center interface. There, one has access to the Unix manual pages and any installed Application Manuals.
If one installs package htdig, it is possible to build a search index for both these document sets. Click the Search Options tab, then the Build Search Index button at page bottom, and the index is build. I have done all this, and the index build reported a successful run. Yet when I search for content I know is in an application manual that I also know is installed (in this case the manual for Digikam), I get NO search hits. This is unexpected, and I can neither explain nor fix the problem.
Can anyone suggest a troubleshooting approach? This functionality would be quite helpful, if I could get it to work.
