Re: Linux Newsreader that downloads and assembles Videos?
I'm running with Verizon's lowest price DSL package which is 1mpb so that could have something to do with it...
But i have noticed that since knocking the default setting on LottaNzb from 8 to 4 connections (in the preference section for usenet server) that i am no longer having the problem of the nzb downloads stopping while web surfing and streaming flash radio or video...
SAB is quite good but actually Lotta is the easiest to use since it has it's own GUI (and not web based like SAB)...
I wasn't aware of NZB and will have to take look
I am not a heavy video/mp3 downloader so it is more economical for me to to use Astraweb's "pay as you go" packages...I had the 25 gb for $10 deal when i was only doing mp3s (enough to last forever...lol) But now that i am doing videos also, i willl add the 180 gb for $25 package (new offering and perfect for a casual video downloader who does mostly divx files)....
I think Astraweb is pretty darn good and rarely blips out on me...i think it was LOTTA being overtaxed by the high connection setting...not using the SSL but could switch of course...do you find it better?
edit: looked at screenshots ...looks pretty simple though look at LottaNzb it has a VERY SIMPLE INTERFACE (more so that SAB does)...and works VERY WELL
