Setting image from Firefox as desktop background

I open a webpage under Firefox and right-click on an image. One of the choices I get is "Set image as desktop background". If I choose that, I get another window with the legend "Set Desktop Background" -- but the preview image is all grey and the "Set Desktop Background" button does nothing.

Am I missing something or is this a bug? If its a bug, is it a Firefox bug or a Kubuntu bug?

Re: Setting image from Firefox as desktop background

To my knowledge I don't think the set image as desktop background option works in linux. The easiest way to get the picture on your desktop is to save it in some folder that you remember, right-click on your desktop and select that picture for your background.

      It's a Firefox thing, then

So the primary control of that action is with Firefox, not with Linux, then. Makes sense. I suppose I should compare the behavior under Windows.
